Sanghe Shakti Kaliyuge: The Power of Togetherness in Our Times

Hey there!

Remember those childhood days, eagerly waiting for Navratri? For me, it was all about the Garba. But about ten years back, I realized Navratri is way more than just music, dance and colourful outfits.

It’s a time to honour the divine feminine, a period of renewal and transformation. We let go of what’s holding us back to make space for fresh starts. This practice, known as Shakti Upasana, is like having a heart-to-heart with the powerful feminine energy inside us. It’s recognizing its magic to transform and use it for our own growth.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love to lose myself in the rhythm of Garba. It’s like a dance that touches the soul. But over time, I’ve learned that these nine days are about more than just the garba ground. It’s like tending to our inner garden – pulling out the weeds and planting seeds of intention and growth.

The idea of Sanghe Shakti fits perfectly with Navratri. It’s about the community coming together for worship, creating a kind of strength that goes beyond what one person can do. It’s a powerful reminder of the untapped power we have when we stand together – not just in rituals, but in how we support each other and our world.

On the auspicious 8th day of this Navratri, I’m reminded of how unity is our strength. Together, we can make a real difference, not just in ourselves, but in the world around us.

And guess what? I’m excited to share a piece of my HeArt with you: a creation inspired by this very theme. In my artwork, you’ll see the threads of unity and strength weaved together worshiping the Shakti depicted through the Kumkum tilak, a visual take on Sanghe Shakti Kaliyuge. I hope it speaks to you as much as it does to me.

This Navratri, let’s connect deeply, grow from within, and celebrate the power we all hold together.
